How far in advance should I book a party?
It is best to call 314-664-7680 and book with Butler’s Pantry as soon as you have chosen your date. This is especially true during peak seasons such as Spring, Fall and during Holidays.
I don’t have a venue yet, can you help me choose one?
Is there a minimum or maximum number of people required?
We are able to cater to groups from small to large. Whether your event is an intimate party of four, a large corporate gathering for hundreds, or a multi-day event with thousands of your closest friends, Butler’s Pantry will work with you to make your vision a reality.
Where do you cater?
We cater anywhere a caterer is allowed: from private homes, community parks, and corporate offices, to event facilities large and small. We are the exclusive caterer at The Reverie, Palladium Saint Louis, 18Rails | The Venue @CityFoundrySTL and The Coronado. Our venue tool makes finding your perfect space simple!
When do I have to provide the final guest count for my event?
We must receive your final guest count seven business days prior to your event.
Can you provide floral arrangements and event décor?
With your aesthetic and event specifics in mind, we can recommend or partner with any of our many FRIENDors (trusted vendors AND friends in the industry) to make your vision a reality.
Can you arrange for the rental of dishware, flatware, glassware, linens, tents, etc?
We can arrange everything from tabletop to serving equipment, tents to entertainment, valet services to trash removal and so much more. Whatever your event requires, we can provide or work with preferred industry partners with seamless coordination.
What types of menus do you offer?
Butler’s Pantry offers menus to fit all types of events. From corporate lunches, to brunch, to seated dinners in your home, to gala receptions – the possibilities are endless!
I don’t see what I want on the sample menus, do you offer other selections?
The sample menus on our website are a great starting point. Butler’s Pantry is always happy to customize menu selections to meet the needs of you and your guests.
Are you known for a specific type of cuisine?
Butler’s Pantry is known for innovative cuisine. From researching different cuisines, themes and time periods to recreating family recipes — we pride ourselves in creating customized menus and unique menu items that best suit our clients and their events.
Can Butler’s Pantry help me with dietary restrictions?
Absolutely! The culinary staff at Butler’s Pantry is happy to create menus and prepare items to accommodate special dietary concerns. Please make your sales and catering manager aware of any dietary restrictions during the menu planning stage of your event.
What is an “off-site” or “off-premises” caterer?
An Off-Premises caterer specializes in providing food and service to its clients in varying locations: whether it is a private home, corporate setting, public park, or large event facility. Off-premises caterers are specially equipped to handle the challenges and flexibility needed to successfully manage events in a wide range of locations – whether or not a kitchen is provided!
What is your alcohol policy?
Butler’s Pantry offers a wide variety of beverage options. Our Beverage Manger can research and order specialty items that are not on our everyday beverage list. Please consult your sales and catering manager for further assistance.
Is there a cake cutting charge?
We do not charge a cake cutting fee. Our culinary staff is happy to cut your wedding cake and serve it on a festively painted plate with berry coulis and fresh berries.
What does “full-service” catering mean?
Service is as important to us as our food. We handle your entire event, sending labor to set-up, serve, and clean-up at the end. It’s our mission to ensure you can be a guest at your own party.
Does Butler’s Pantry provide staffing for my event?
Butler’s Pantry is a Full-Service caterer. We provide all of the staff you need to make your event run smoothly.
Is a service charge included on my bill?
Service Charge is not automatically included on your bill; we leave it up to your discretion. Should you like to include additional thanks, your sales and catering manager would be happy to assist you in determining an appropriate amount.
Can I just hire labor to serve my prepared food?
We take pride in the knowledge and skills that our service staff at Butler’s Pantry possess. We enjoy the same pride in the quality and excellence of our food. In order the maintain the high reputation that we have earned during our 50 years in business, Butler’s Pantry employees must staff events that feature our food. We can recommend staffing companies, but we do not offer labor only.
Can food be dropped off at my home or picked up at your establishment?
Yes, we are ready to cater to your drop-off culinary needs. Select from a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and snack menu items, all in recyclable packaging! What is the difference between event packages and menus?
Event packages offer a convenient manner in which to choose from various event options for all aspects of your function, including menu choices with a discounted package price. Please consult our Sales Team to customize your event.
What is the tax rate?
The current tax rate is 11.679%.
Why do you charge a Catering Fee?
Creating a memorable and successful event requires incredible attention to detail. The catering fee focuses on providing you with an exceptional experience from our sales, culinary, service and operations teams. Additionally, the fee allows us to provide our clients with in house lines of quality rentals, fine china, unique glassware, serving pieces and responsible disposables at reasonable prices. The catering fee & current sales tax will be applied to your final bill.
